Rome

Pat and I had a great day in Rome. We walked around the Colosseum (depends on the spelling). Then we walked around the Forum area.  (We will be back in Rome for Saturday and Sunday and tour inside both of these.) We visited Trevi Fountain. Yes we threw coins in the fountain.  This is our 3rd visit here. The saying is true - throw coins in the fountain and you will return.  Then we made our way to the Spanish Steps  before heading back toward our hotel. Rome is a nice place to visit but don't drive in the city. Tomorrow we are going south on a tour (since my tour guide went to Alabama) to  the southern part of Italy. This is the first time on our trip I have paid for a tour guide other than free drinks for my brother.  When we get back Friday night we will again be our own tour guides. Some pictures here and some on Facebook. Go to my site on facebook and see more pictures. I haven't gotten the hang of this blog thing yet. Not sure how many pictures you should post here.
