We have had a fun 3 weeks. Spent the first two with Jerry & Linda touring around Europe. Pat and I have spent the last week in Italy. We have seen some pretty sights and met some nice people on our travels. I have borrowed Jerry's "Blog" for the past week and this will be my final post on his blog. I have enjoyed sharing some of our pictures with you. Hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. We leave tomorrow morning for our flight home. We said goodbye to our hotel in Rome and have moved to another close to the airport. We'll be seeing you!

Visiting the Colosseo
After visiting the Forum, it was time to check out the Colosseo (Colosseum). There wasn't nearly as much walking as in the Forum. The Colosseum would hold between 50,000 to 70,000 people for their entertainment. It had a wooden floor with sand/dirt on top of the floor. (Sounds like what we do for a Rodeo.) I wonder who was the copycat?

Leaving Sorrento Part II
I didn't get all the pictures I wanted to show on the last entry. So, let's try again. Before we left, we took a walk to the town and then returned to our hotel for one final goodbye drink. This is one beautiful place!

Leaving Sorrento
Today was our last day in Sorrento. We left Sorrento this afternoon and went back to Rome. However, we had the morning free, Pat and I did a walking trip in the town. Then back to our hotel for a drink by the pool while we waited for our bus back to Rome. Lemons and Oranges are all over Sorrento. Their trees (especially oranges) line the streets. They make a drink here (and sell it by the bottle) called Limoncello (sounds like lemon jello with a c instead of a j). You don't need a full shot of this! It is strong! Here are some pictures and others will be on Facebook. Just show me as your friend and you can see them, also.

Dinner at Capodimonte
Sorrento, Capri, Blue Grotto, Anacapri
Yesterday, after leaving Pompeii we went to Sorrento. Today we left Sorrento and went to Capri, the Blue Grotto and Anacapri (Ana Capri). There is one road on the island of Capri and two towns - Capri and Anacapri. After we docked in Capri we took another boat to the Blue Grotto. There we got on a smaller boat, only 4 people at a time and went into the Blue Grotto. You must lay down on the boat to get inside. Then returned to Capri and headed for Anacapri for lunch and shopping. Great day and returned to our hotel for a nice dinner.
