Munich to Rome

Our tour guide and navigator left for the US Monday morning by airplane.  Pat and I left for Rome by train. I will attempt to keep the blog going for another week. My goal is not to leave my companion standing alone at a train station as our previous guide had done. The train from Germany to Bologna was nice and it was fast.  When we got to Bologna we changed to an Italian train. This train was really fast (over 250 km per hour). Our trip from Munich to Rome took us through the Alps and wine country.
