Larry & Jerry

Mustard Soup, to die for...

Pat & Linda
We had an uneventful overnight flight into Dusseldorf.  After arrival, I made a mistake in comparing our accommodations and meals with Larry.  He & Pat were in first class and Linda & I were in "coach".  Right off the bat, it reminded me of the difference between a category 7 Hilton and a Motel Six.  First class, for meals, had a shrimp & avocado cocktail, along with soup & salad.  For an entree, they had a choice of Fillet, with a lobster dish, or seared chicken breast over rice or Lasagna.  For dessert they had fresh made Sundays, with a choice of toppings. Their wine selection included 2 reds, 2 whites and 2 dessert wines.  Their wine was in bottles with corks.  Not only that, they had a recliner that made into a bed and the Captain came back to see them and talk about the flight.  They had real pillows and a down comforter.  How nice...

Meanwhile....back of the curtain..we had a choice between some chicken dish or a vegetable pasta dish.  Our dessert was a 2" square of brownie, wrapped in cellophane.  Our seats reclined 2"inches.  Our pillows were like something a baby doll might have.  Our blankets..I don't want to go there.  You won't hear me complain..I'm just proud to be on the trip.

The picture is a bowl of Mustard soup I had tonight at dinner.  Very good.  We are tired, long night, long day, turning in.  Good night

Also, I almost forgot, our choice of wine...one red...and it came in a box and we haven't laid eyes on the Captain, yet.

One other thing, I forgot to mention breakfast...we had an Egg Mcmuffin with a banana and they had omelets, with assorted fruits and cereals.
